Globalization, Technological Advancement and the Elderly People: A Systematic Review of Literature

Old age comes with lots of challenges which become a burden to the able-bodied members society and may cause physical economic stress over short long term. Technology has catalysed development processes world for many decades now. It affected senior in their everyday lives either negatively or positively. Existing research focused much on impact technology old people from perspective caregivers family members. This paper examines using available literature people's perspective. International Bibliography Social Sciences (IBSS) sociological abstracts (SOCAB) databases were used, total 6 articles pool generated analysed. The study found that there are several assistive devices ageing great extent gives them sense belonging it helps keep identity by being independent. also been still sceptical about some as they perceived be invading privacy. Furthermore, proposes future how social interaction can lead successful ageing.
